The LJ12A3-4-Z/BY is a high-performance inductive proximity sensor with a PNP Normally Open (NO) output, designed to detect metallic objects without physical contact. Its compact cylindrical M12 body makes it easy to mount on machines, breadboards, and control panels.
This sensor operates using electromagnetic induction: it generates a magnetic field and senses disturbances caused by nearby metal (typically ferromagnetic), triggering a switching output when the object is within a 4mm range. With IP67-rated housing, it’s built to withstand industrial environments including CNC machines, 3D printers, and automation systems.
Unlike traditional contact-based switches, the LJ12A3-4-Z/BY offers non-contact activation, improving durability and reliability. It integrates an oscillator circuit, amplifier, and switch driver, enabling accurate and fast switching responses.
